Basic health information for travelers to Anguilla
• The general precaution is required; however there is no outstanding disease threat in the country.
• A poisonous species of tree called Manchineel which is often found on the countries beaches should be avoided owing to the high number of mosquitoes and other bugs that are often found close to it. Very rare cases of Dengue Fever have been reported and all travellers to the beach are urged to buy plenty of insect repellent for defence and should avoid all close proximity to these trees where possible. If infected, travellers are urged to stay calm and immediately seek out medical assistance before serious symptoms develop.

• It is always recommended to keep a certificate of vaccination against Yellow Fever when one has travelled to countries with infected areas
• Topless bathing is not currently permitted on the countries beaches and all travellers are urged to dress formally when away from the major beaches or tourist locations.
